There is no better way than to communicate through images. Take some time to stick around and see if you can get some ideas of the possibilities.

facings

The term 'facings' is a container concept. In dentistry it can mean a lot by this.

They are also called shields or veneers. Then you also have different applications. For example shape adjustments, color adjustments, function adjustments or combinations. In addition, there are also various materials that can be used such as feldspathic ceramic veneers, lithium disilicate veneers or composite veneers. There are also monolithic or hybrid versions and some can be made directly or indirectly. This may all sound very confusing but there are similarities.  Most veneers are made with an attempt to preserve the natural teeth with minimal grinding and they are all placed adhesively on the teeth.

Here is an example of two very thin non-prep veneers made of feldspathic ceramic.

Non-prep means that the teeth are not grinded by a dental drill. This technique is often used for reshaping and is less suitable for major color adjustments

It's always wise to listen carefully to wishes.

This gentleman wanted his teeth to be more lined up but definitely not a bright Hollywood smile. Four minimal prep veneers were manufactured.

crowns

In most cases, the dental drill is used more for grinding crowns than with veneers.  A crown is nothing more than a "hood" in a tooth shape covering a damaged tooth or molar. They are made of metal with/without porcelain, of lithium disilicate with/without porcelain, of zirconium with/without porcelain or of composite. The dental hood is then glued to the rest of the tooth. The idea of a crown is to restore or even improve the tooth's original shape and function. The color of crowns is matched to the color of your natural teeth.

Below is an example of replacement of two old crowns for two new lithium disilicate/porcelain crowns.

Replacing a single tooth is always extremely challenging. A zirconium porcelain crown has been provided.  See example 1

Example 3

Replacing two old metal-ceramic crowns(PFM) with new baked-on zirconium crowns is

very common nowadays.
